Lillie Margaret Craft's Obituary
Lillie Margaret Craft, 82, of Deridder, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 7, 1943, in Merryville, Louisiana, to Dewey and Minnie Mae Swilley, Lillie was a treasured wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her wonderful spirit touched everyone she encountered, and her presence truly brightened the world around her.
Lillie's life was enriched by her love of nature. As an avid gardener, she spent countless hours tending to her beloved plants, finding peace in every bloom. She was also a master of crossword puzzles and a passionate reader.
Deeply rooted in her community, Lillie was a member of the Bilbo and Roberts Church of Christ. She valued the camaraderie of her friends at the Brookshire Brothers Breakfast Club, where she spent many joyful mornings.
Lillie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Boyd Wayne Craft; her son, Stephen Craft; her granddaughter, Lexi Jordan; as well as her siblings: Ricky Swilley, Betty Cooley, Charles Swilley, Donald Swilley, and Patsy Michel. She is survived by her daughters, Sonya Franks (Kevin), Sandra Jordan (Allen), and Sarah Jeane (Johnny). Lillie also leaves behind her siblings, Ronnie Swilley, Sheryln Hickman, and Vicky Brooks, along with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, she is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Lillie’s life was a shining example of love and friendship, a legacy that will continue to touch the lives of those who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 24,2025 at 2:00PM, visitation will be at 12:00PM until the time of services at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville. Officiating will be Bro. Darrell Hieronymus. Pallbearers will include Kertus Craft, Billy Jeane, Evan Byrd, Hardy Hickman Jr., JW Brooks, and Jonathon Amburn, with Craig Craft, Chris Craft, James Stephenson, and Curtis Ward serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
