Lester Gale Spillers' Obituary
Funeral services for Lester Gale Spillers, 69 of Leesville will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 11 AM at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Osley officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Louisiana VA Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017, from 4-9 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Spillers was born in Leesville, La and passed away, Saturday, May 6, 2017, in Alexandria, La. Mr. Spillers was retired from the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart along with Gallantry Cross. After retiring from the Army, he worked for Sabine Parish Police Jury and worked on Ft. Polk driving a bus.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Spillers, Leesville, son, Mark Spillers (Vicki) Metairie, La., daughter, Darla Algire (Scott) of Loudonville, Ohio, brothers, Bob Spillers and Harmon Spillers both of Leesville, sisters, Tommie West (Jimmy) Hornbeck, La., Elaine Welch, Anacoco, Brenda Jeane (James) Leesville, grandchildren, Andrea Algire, Kayla Kibler, Jessica Goley, Madigan Spillers and Noah Spillers, great grandchildren Brenden, Skylar, Gavin, Braxton, Kaeden and Weslynn.
