Lester "L.C" Carlton Jeane's Obituary
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:00 A.M at Cold Springs Baptist Church in Anacoco. Burial will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M at Cold Springs Baptist Church.
Lester Carlton “L.C.” Jeane was born May 15, 1950, in Leesville L.A. to Sheldon and Nancy Jeane. He passed away on March 31, 2019 at his residence in Hornbeck, Louisiana at the age of 68.
L.C. was retired from the Air Force as well as the Fort Polk Fire Department where he served as Assistant Fire Chief. L. C. was also a skilled carpenter, mechanic and jack of all trades. He loved and was loved by many friends and family.
Survivors include his children Christine Elkins (Roger), Nancy Hilton (Josh Kosin), James Jeane (Audrey), and Carlton Jeane from his marriage to Brenda Jeter Jeane. He is also survived by his companion of 15 years Kathy Ball and her daughters Kimberly Martin (Bobby Brack) and Belinda Williams. Also included are 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. L.C. is also survived by brothers Medford “Sonny” Jeane (Betty), Sheldon “Toddy” Jeane (Cynthia), Dale Jeane and sisters Melva Roshong and Dolly Belsha as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
L.C. is predeceased by his parents, brother; James “J.W.” Jeane and sister; Freida Jeane Alcala as well as his honorary son Scotty Martin.
