Leslie Daryl Holdt's Obituary
Leslie "Daryl" Holdt, 74, a beloved son, brother, step-father, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born on March 23, 1952, in Pasadena, Texas to Fay and Leslie L. Holdt.
For many years Daryl worked as an electrician before pursuing his passion for entrepreneurship by opening Holdt's Feed Store. He retired from the feed store to care for his mother for the remainder of her life.
He enjoyed gardening and feeding the wild birds. He often spent time working on his property affectionately known as "Fort Consumption" located in Livingston, Texas. He also enjoyed fishing, astrology signs and motorcycles.
Daryl is survived by his step-son Dale Parrish and wife Sherrie of Trenton, Tennessee along with their daughter Jessica Parrish and her son Elijah Parrish; niece Tania Parker and husband Donald of Leesville; nephews Chris Marshall and Jeff Marshall and wife Melissa along with their children Owen & Audrey; great-niece Lacy Cryer & husband Josh along with their children Easton & Kinsley.
He was preceded in death by his mother Fay Holdt; father Leslie L. Holdt as well as brother Louis Marshall.
Funeral services honoring Daryl’s remarkable life will be held at Silver Creek Baptist Church in Leesville at 10:00 A.M., Saturday June 20, 2026 with Bro. Jerry Twyman officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:00 A.M until time of services at the church.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are; Jeff Marshall, Chris Marshall, Dale Parrish, Donald Parker, Alan Marshall and Robert Herring.
