Leroy Fleming, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 123, 2010, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, May 15, 2010, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. Gary Bankson officiating. Final committal will be private at a later date.
A native of Wichita, Kansas, he was retired from the U. S. Civil Service where he was in housing maintenance. He also worked on water projects for the Corps of Engineers all over the United States. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying, yardwork and model trains.
Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M., Friday, May 14, 2010 and from 10 A.M. until time of the service, Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joicelyn Lindon Fleming; three daughters, Debra Fleming Gosnell and husband Charles, Paula Fleming Glenn and husband Tim, and Evelyn Fleming; five grandchildren, Jason Glenn and wife Heather, Amanda Glenn, Chad Fleming and wife Kia, Bethany Gosnell Schwarz and husband Mark, and Daniel Gosnell; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Voyt, Gertrude Taylor, both of Kansas, and Junita Huff of Arkansas; and a host of nephews and nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Dorthea Fleming.
