Leonard Rhodes was born on June 5, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY to Major Roscoe and Caroline Boone Rhodes. He passed away on January 12, 2025 in New Llano, LA.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Rhodes, a remarkable individual who embodied love, service, and wisdom in every aspect of his life. Leonard Rhodes was not just a devoted father but also a constant source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love for his family.
As a paramedic and health specialist, he dedicated his life to saving others, often putting their needs above his own. His compassion knew no bounds, and his commitment to the well-being of his community was unparalleled. Through his tireless efforts, Leonard Rhodes touched countless lives, providing hope and healing to those in their most vulnerable moments.
Beyond his professional life, Leonard Rhodes was a dedicated family supporter and a mentor to many. He is survived by his wife Charline Rhodes of New Llano, LA; sons, Montego B. Rhodes of Chester, VA and Andre Cordell Rhodes of New Llano, LA; daughters, Nhasharra Tarray Rhodes of Exeter, PA, Tiffany Latrice Rhodes of Leesville, LA and Nattallah Teanna Rhodes of New Llano, LA; brothers, Terrance Rhodes of Brooklyn, NY, Damon Rhodes of Atlanta, GA, Michael Rhodes of Long Island, NY, Eugene Rhodes of Long Island, NY and Clarence Rhodes of Long Island, NY and sister, Roxanne Culbreth Peace of Augusta, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Rev. Ronale Coleman officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial will be held in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 12:30 P.M.
