Lenard E. Monk's Obituary
Funeral services for Lenard E. Monk, 75, of Hicks, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Hicks, with Rev. Shawn Wagner and Rev. Hollis Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 11th from 5 p.m. until time of service at the church Saturday.
Lenard the son of Elijah and Verna Wellman Monk was born March 27, 1939. He passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at his residence in Hicks.
Mr. Monk was longtime member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. He retired from Fort Polk as a Supervisor of Road & Grounds after thirty seven years. He was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife Gladys Monk of Hicks; sons, Paul Monk and Ricky Monk (wife, Debra) all of Hicks; daughter, Pam Anderson (husband, Corky) of Lake Charles; brother, Rev. Millard Monk of Hicks; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
