Lelia Estelle Burns' Obituary
Funeral services for Lelia Estelle Burns, 94, of Anacoco will be held Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11 am at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Steve Lora officiating. Burial will follow in the Self Cemetery, in Hornbeck, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 15th from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Friday, December 16th from 8 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Estelle, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Oxley Horton, was born on July 28, 1922, in Fisher, Louisiana. She passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at her residence in Anacoco.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Carnie C. Burns of Anacoco; daughter, Carmen Love of Anacoco; brother, Johnny Horton (Shirley) of Leesville and Cecil Horton of Texas; sisters, Dorothy Sanders of Mobile, AL, Melba Pruitt of Anacoco and Miriam Eason of Many; three grandchildren, Mark Sterling (Sherrie), Shannon Dowdle (Kevin) and Kim Sterling; six great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
