Lela June Unruh's Obituary
Funeral services for Lela Unruh, 77, of DeRidder, Louisiana, will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 30, 2010, in the Highland Mennonite Church in DeRidder with Minister Larry Schmidt and Minister Roger Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Mennonite Church Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Mrs. Unruh was born in Galva, Kansas, to Henry H. and Mable Adalene Giesel Ratzloff, where she grew up and resided until she married. She then lived in Chickasha, OK until moving to DeRidder in 1990. She was formerly employed as a secretary for Highland Growers and Koehn Repair Shop in DeRidder before retiring. She was a member of the Highland Church of God in Christ Mennonite church in DeRidder.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Unruh and wife Marlene of Newbern, AL, and Errol Unruh and wife Mary Jo of DeRidder; two daughters, Bonnie Jo Ratzloff and husband Abe, and Joanne Nightingale and husband Don, both of Chickasha, OK; brother, Melvern Ratzlaff of Hillsboro, KS; three sisters, Beulah Unruh and Yvonne Friesen, both of Galva, KS, and Evy Boese of Moundridge, KS; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Unruh, and parents, Henry H. and Mable Adalene Giesel Ratzloff.
