To the family of Leila, May God lift your spirits and give you strength during this difficult time. Leila will be missed by many but the memories she left behind will forever be with all. Rest in peace Leila??
Leila, you will be missed. This still does not seem real to us. I will miss my lunch buddy. I pray that you are resting peacefully. God bless.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
Rest in Peace, Leila.
May God hold the entire family in His loving arms, and bring you comfort during this time of sorrow and grief. I met Leila when she began working for DCFS in New Orleans during the 90's. Then after Hurricane Katrina, we both relocated to the Lafayette Region. Her natural talent and gift for arts and crafts was obvious to everyone who saw her work. Frequently I teased her by telling her that she was in the wrong profession. But, I knew that she had developed a committment to child welfare, and like so many of us, could not just walk away. She was a force of nature; strong-willed and fiesty, but also caring and compassionate. Rest in Peace Leila. I will miss you.
she was my best friend and I will miss her very very much. I can't imagine my life without her.
My prayers and thoughts are with her family. She was indeed a woman of integrity and passion for the safety and wellbeing of the children who came through the foster care system. Thank you Leila for your devotion to our children. You have been a blessing to the children and all of us. Rest in peace for your work here is done.
Rest in Peace, Leila. You were a warrior for the fight against child abuse, thank you for making that your passion. You will truly be missed. To your family and friends may your memories of your times w/Leila, comfort you during your grief. Surely Leila will be greeted in heaven by the Angels blaring their trumpets to the tune of "When the Saints Come Marching In"!!! Raelyn
