Larry D. Moore's Obituary
Funeral services for Larry D. Moore, 71, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Revs. Jerry Key, & Jack Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 12th beginning at 5p.m. in the church.
Larry, the son of Olen & Ollie Moore, was born October 1, 1941, in Monroe, La. He passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Alexandria, La.
Mr. Moore was retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves. He worked for 37 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Fort Polk. Larry loved to travel in his R.V, and pass his time doing woodworking. He was a wonderful family man who loved with all of his heart and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by His Parents; and One Sister Melba Jessup.
Larry is survived by: His Wife: Winnie Moore of Hornbeck; Children: Joy Moore of Cookeville, Tn., Angela King of Memphis, Tn., & David Moore of Hornbeck; Four Brothers: Benny Moore of Pascagoula, Ms., Richard Moore of Deville, La., Johnny Moore of Hornbeck, La. & Michael Moore of Murfreesboro, Tn.; One Sister: Debbie Phillips of Leesville, La.; Three Grandchildren: Brandon Salinas, Sydney King, & Sean Moore.
