Larry E. Jernigan's Obituary
Funeral services for Larry E. Jernigan, 71, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19th at the Anacoco United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Shannon Buxton, Rev. E. L. Thornton and Rev. C.H. Dowden officiating. The burial will following in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Anacoco. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 18th from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, August 19th from 9:00 a.m. until service time all at the church.
Larry was the son of Earl and Norma Dixon Jernigan and was born January 24, 1943 in Anacoco, LA. He passed away Friday, August 15th in Lake Charles, LA.
Larry retired from the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy. He was a lifelong member of the Anacoco United Pentecostal Church and has served as a board member at the church for the past 26 years. Larry had a passion for music, and was a loving husband, father and a Paw Paw
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Mary Glaspie Jernigan and their children: Tonya Jernigan, Tanya Jernigan al of Anacoco, Paul Jernigan of Hineston, LA and Nathan and wife Alicia Jernigan of Anacoco; a sister, Lenora Martin of Leesville and seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Waylon, Josalyn, Braydon, Tyler, Gatlyn and Emilee.
