Lannice R. "LR" Sanders' Obituary
Funeral services for Lannice R. “LR” Sanders, 80, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 4th, at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Sunday, October 5th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church.
Lannice, the son of Canaan and Elma Jett Sanders, was born June 16, 1934, in Hornbeck, LA. He passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Alexandria, LA.
LR loved hunting, fishing and family gatherings. He was an avid domino player.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Canaan & Elma Sanders; children’s mother, Ava Novella Sanders and one brother, Bennie Sanders.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Frances Sanders of Hornbeck, LA; son, Michael R. Sanders & wife, Edna of Leesville; daughters, Susan Dowden & husband, Roy of Hornbeck, LA & Pamela Sharbeno & husband, Ronnie of Hornbeck, LA; step-sons, Chris Steinebach & wife, Melanie of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff Steinebach & wife, Cara of Traverse City, MI, & Tim Steinebach & wife Chrisse of Kingsley, MI; brother, Larry Sanders & wife, Wanda of Vidor, TX; sisters, Donis Chance of Vidor, TX & Verna Mae Ford of Hornbeck, LA; sister-in-law, Betty Joe Sanders of Hornbeck; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
