Funeral services for Landry Woodie Brister, 67, of DeRidder, LA, will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Minister officiating will be Brother John Davis. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery, Singer, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Mr. Brister passed from this life on Saturday, October 26, 2013, in DeRidder, LA.
Visitation begins Tuesday, October 29, 2013, 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA and continues on Wednesday, 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home in DeRidder, LA.
Mr. Brister was born on June 12, 1946 in DeRidder, LA, to Sylvia Woodard Brister and Liggie Brister. He was a lifelong resident of DeRidder. He loved the outdoors and sitting on his porch drinking coffee.
Survivors include his son, Randy Brister of DeRidder, LA; 2 daughters, Belinda Decker and Miranda Ortiz, both of DeRidder, LA; brother, Ollen Ray Brister of Seamoore, IN; sister, Sandra Brister of Evans, LA and 6 grandchildren.
