Kiku Okouchi "June" Thomas' Obituary
Memorial services for Mrs. Kiku (June) Okouchi Thomas,85, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. William (Bill) Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday in the Funeral Home.
Mrs. June loved life and family. She loved to cook and play bingo. She worked 22 years at Emerald Hills Resort in Florien, LA. Being a military wife she traveled with her husband to different assignments. Their son Frank was born in France.
She always put her family & many friends first. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a trusting and wonderful person and we will all miss her already.
Mrs. June as she was affectionately called is survived by her husband of 60+ years, Gardner Thomas of Anacoco, La.; son, Frank G. Thomas and wife Melissa of Frisco, TX; brothers, Isamu Okouchi of Yokohoma, Japan and sisters, Uta Guidry of Church Point, LA, Riyoko Ishii of Tokyo, Japan, Tomiko Okouchi of Yokohama, Japan.
The Family of Mrs. Thomas would like to give a special thanks to the nursing staff at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville for the excellent care extended to her during her short illness.
The family also would like to request that no flowers be sent to the memorial service.
