Kenneth Wayne Williams' Obituary
Kenneth Wayne Williams of Anacoco, Louisiana was born on March 31, 1948, in Leesville, Louisiana and went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Kenny was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty, and proud father to his children, Julie and Roger, who were among God’s greatest blessings in his life.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Kenny felt at peace outdoors, whether in the woods at dawn waiting on a big buck or on the lake fighting a largemouth. Music was another passion close to his heart; whether it was with friends sitting around picking guitars or performing with numerous musical groups through the years. Kenny loved to play music—sharing laughter, stories and songs that carried long into the evening. Those moments of fellowship and friendship were where his generous spirit shined brightest. He loved his afternoon coffee breaks with his family and friends occasionally watching the deer and turkeys from their front porch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Ray Williams and Billie Ruth Williams, and Luther “Skint” & Effie Dowden (that raised him).
Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Betty Hillman Williams of Anacoco, daughter Julie Williams of Riesel, Texas, son Roger and daughter in love Nicky Williams of Anacoco, siblings John Williams (Anett) of Anacoco, Linda Sandell (Joseph) of Anacoco, and Lace Wiley (Jeffrey) of Anacoco.
Kenny will be remembered for his love of family, his playful heart, and the friendship he built through the years. While he will be deeply missed, those who loved him will find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that he is rejoicing in God’s presence. His legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at East Leesville Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Kiker and Bro. Brent Cosio officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
