Kenneth D. Kite, Jr.'s Obituary
Kenneth D. Kite, Jr., 57, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, July 2, 2021 at his home in DeRidder. Kenneth, the son of the late Kenneth D. Kite, Sr. and Winkie Crowe Kite Branch was born on February 19, 1964, in DeRidder, LA.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 11 AM until Funeral Service begins at 2:00 PM, at Temple Baptist Church located at 122 Martin Luther King Dr., DeRidder, LA, with Rev. George Lee Glass, pastor of Grace Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery, DeRidder, LA. Funeral services under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Kenneth was a graduate of DeRidder High School. He owned and operated K & P Flooring. In his spare time, he loved to ride his motorcycle with his dog and his friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Winkie Crowe Kite Branch of DeRidder; daughter, Karla Kite-Evans of DeRidder; sons, Kenneth DeWayne Kite of DeRidder, and Jeffery Blankenbaker and Shandi of Rosepine; his loving ex-wife of 30 years, Phyllis Kite of DeRidder; grandchildren, Kameron Kite, Madyson Hays, Kaitlin Blankenbaker, and Kailea Blankenbaker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Kenneth D. Kite, Sr.; grandparents, George and Ellenor Kite, and Harold and Myrtle Crowe; sister, Kayla Kite.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are DeWayne Kite, Kameron Kite, Madyson Hays, Michael Greene, Bud Crowe, Sam Crowe, and Robert Savant.
