Kenneth Guy Hermann's Obituary
Kenneth Guy Hermann, 73, was found deceased in his home on Three Pine Church Road on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in DeRidder, LA. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at the Wesley First United Methodist Church in DeRidder, LA with Guy’s cousin Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Guy had been struggling with brain cancer for some time and was receiving radiation therapy on an outpatient basis through Rapides Regional Medical Center. He had undergone surgery approximately three years ago for what was diagnosed as a benign brain tumor. The second tumor was inoperable.
Guy was born on August 31, 1945 in DeRidder, LA. He was the son of Kenneth and Betty Williams Hermann. He was a graduate of DeRidder High School and McNeese State University. After college Guy worked with his father, Kenneth, and his brother, Gary, in the family dairy operation until they closed the dairy business. In his later years Guy milked cows for Arvin Decker for several years, and role played for the U.S. Army at Fort Polk. Through his work career and his retirement, he remained a member of the Beauregard Parish Fair Board.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Candee Hermann of Pensacola, FL; mother of their daughter, Patricia Hermann; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Hermann; brother, Gary Hermann; and two maternal uncles, Douglas Williams, Sr. and Eugene Waifs.
Memorial may be sent to Wesley United Methodist Church, 701 North Texas Street, DeRidder, LA.
