Kathy Lou Rains' Obituary
Kathy Laurence Rains, 68, passed away on Friday, July 26th, in Harrisonville, Missouri. Kathy was born on September 19, 1950, and was the daughter of Robert Lee and Ollie Ava Laurence. She was married to the love of her life in November 1969, graduated from Hornbeck High school in 1971, and spent her life loving others on the home front.
Kathy was a woman of God who many knew and loved. She was always a kind and encouraging soul, and she dedicated her life to the service of her friends and family. Kathy loved reading and you could nearly always find her with a book in her hand. She also enjoyed watching movies, and was a fan of John Wayne through and through. Though she was a quiet woman, she had a lot of wisdom to share.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donnie Rains; and her brothers Densil Nash, Robert (Bobby) Laurence II, and Ronnie Laurence.
Kathy is survived by her brothers Darryl Nash, Jack Laurence, Donnie Laurence, and Danny Laurence; her sister Shirley Behan; her daughter Madie (and Brent) Probasco; her son Dewayne (and Barbi) Rains; her stepson Jeff Rains as well as her three grandchildren, her four step-grandchildren, her three great-grandsons, and her three step-great-grandchildren.
Though she will be missed, she lived a life worth celebrating until we see her again.
