Funeral services for Kathy D. “Fat Cat” Perkins Cardy, 54, of Pitkin, Louisiana will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Marlow Baptist Church with Rev. C.R. Bayham officiating. Burial will follow in the Drakes Fork Cemetery in Cravens, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20th from 4 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday, March 21st at the church.
Kathy, the daughter of James Homer Brown and Lorene Perkins was born February 27, 1958, in Cravens, LA. She passed away Sunday, March 18th, in Rusk, Texas. Mrs. Cardy loved music, John Wayne and was extremely outgoing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Elvin “Sammy” Lee Perkins and Brian Brown.
She is survived by her husband John Cardy of Fullerton, LA; daughters, Jennifer L. Powers of Kinder, LA, & Thelma D. Carroll of Cravens, LA; step-sons, Bobby L. Bloodsworth, Jr., of Hineston, LA, John M. Cardy, Jr., of DeQuincy, LA; step-daughters, Marsha Kaye Bloodsworth of Clinton, OK, Anna Wedgeworth of Merryville, LA, & Bridgette Jackson of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Mitchell Dwayne Perkins of DeRidder, LA; & Bertis Brown of Pitkin, LA; sisters, Eleanor Moore of Ottis, LA, Rita Dixon of Pitkin, LA, Patricia Accettella of Pollock, LA, Charlotte Thompson of Leesville, LA, Shirley Bloodsworth of Hineston, LA, Jeannie Boudreaux of Texas City, TX, Michelle Merchant of Hineston, LA, & Sally Brown of Oakdale, LA; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
