Kathleen Turner White's Obituary
Funeral services for Kathleen “Granny” White, 65, of Pickering will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 4 pm at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev Lindsey Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cravens, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Monday, March 27, 2017, from 11 am until 9 pm, and then Tuesday 8am until service in the funeral home.
Kathleen the daughter of Ira and Oma Moore Turner was born Leesville, Louisiana. She passed away on Saturday, March 25th at the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Kathleen worked as the Chief of Administration Services Division at Fort Polk from 1969 until her passing. She loved to write poetry, Camp, fish and play poker, however her family was her whole life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond White, brothers, John Turner, Malcolm Turner, Joe Ozbolt, Pauline Grimes, Mary Adeline Sanders.
She is survived by her children, Chris Brooks of Leesville, Diana White Brooks, Aimee Elizabeth Brooks and spouse Melissa Strickland of Leesville, Timothy White and Michael White both of DeRidder; her special children, Preston Sanders, Jonathan Williamson, Payton Williamson, Lucy Brooks and Zachary Stephens; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and her niece Linda Kay Childress.
