Katherine Armes Stanley's Obituary
Funeral services for Katherine Armes Stanley, 83, of Leesville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Rev. Mark Christian & Bro. Craig Forque officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM– 2:00 P.M in the funeral home.
Katherine was born on April 15, 1937 in Leesville, Louisiana to her parents, Buck & Iris Armes Haymon. She passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in the The Woodland Healthcare Center in Leesville.
She lived her life in Leesville as a devoted wife, mom and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and visiting on the porch with family and friends. She loved her family and she enjoyed making everyone laugh. She also liked her coffee and chocolate pies.
Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Joseph Stanley, sister; Sue Armes Buxton, step-father; Elmer Haymon.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Bobby Guy Boycher of Leesville, LA.; the granddaughter she raised, Trista Lynn Chamblee (Dustin) of Vicksburg, MS.; great granddaughter, Hayleigh; great grandsons, Cooper, Myles and Tripp; brother, Ernest K. Armes Jr. of Lumberton, TX.; nieces, Judy, Laurie, Molly all of Lumberton, TX.; nephew, Tim Armes of Olive Branch, MS.; special cousins James K. Armes III (Carolyn) of Leesville, LA.; Carolyn Armes Meyer (Vernon) of Westlake, LA.; a “sister more than a niece” Sydney Drew Smith of Leesville, LA.; great nephew, Arlin T. (Buddy) Smith of FL.; great niece, Susan Smith Christner (Steve) of Bossier City, LA.
