Karin Myrick's Obituary
Karin Myrick, 87, of Slagle, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called home by God to be in HIS choir.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Bro. Tom Muncey officiating and the burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Friends may visit from 8:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
She was the daughter of Kazimierz and Maria Kotewicz, and was born June 10, 1927 in Poland. She passed away, Sunday, May 17th, in Alexandria, LA.
Karin loved cooking for her family and loved ones. One of her specialties was making German black bread. She loved singing and listening to Southern Gospel Music. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her beautiful roses. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband CSM (Ret.) James C. Myrick.
She is survived by her sons, Jim W. and wife Terrisa Myrick of Magnolia, TX, Gordon L. and wife Linda Myrick of Leesville, LA and Roy A. Myrick of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Myra R. Myrick of Lafayette, LA, Gwen E. and husband Claude Cupit of Athens, LA and Ramona R. Myrick of Keithville, LA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two very special friends, Tom and Shirley Muncey.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Rapides General Hospital 4th Floor East Wing and ICU for their support and professional care provided to our mother.
