I knew Karen and the Sutherland family growing up many years ago. Our houses were across the street from each other. I have many beautiful and fond memories of our families together throughout the years. I have kept up with news of Karen through her sister, Ellen, who lives in Italy. I am heartbroken her time here was cut short. Doug, I have not met you but I know how special you and Karen’s relationship was from Ellen. Karen will be greatly missed. She had a heart of gold and always wanted to make everyone feel special on their birthdays and holidays. She was a true life partner for Doug.
