Junior Dowden's Obituary
Funeral services for Junior Dowden, 89, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Anacoco United Pentecostal Church in Anacoco with Rev. C. W. Dowden officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 19th from 10:30 am until time of service at the church.
Junior, the son of Jody and Mirtie Norsworthy Dowden was born September 19, 1924, in Hutton, LA. He passed away Monday, October 14th at his daughter’s residence in Gray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sara Smith Dowden and son Joseph Dowden.
He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Pierre & husband Jesse of Gray, LA; sister, Polly Dees of College Station, TX and grandchildren, Misty Dowden of Gray, LA, Amanda Rhoads of Shreveport, LA and Jessica Pierre of Gray, LA.
