June Evelyn (Hinson) Stephens, 80, passed from this life on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at her residence in the Knight Community.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 2:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, Louisiana. Minister officiating will be Rev. Clark Palmer. Burial will be at Hinson Cemetery, Knight Community.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home in DeRidder and Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
She is survived by her son, Glen Edward Stephens and wife Marian of Cottonwood, Louisiana; Granddaughter, Sandra Stephens of Cottonwood, Louisiana;
Great Grandchildren,Lance Stephens and Heather Stephens Haselton; Great Great Grandchildren, Serenity Angel Stephens, Cameron Hanson Stephens, Kellan Edward Stephens
June was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “R.C.” Stephens;
Sister, Willie M. Quaidy;
Brother, Durwood Hinson
and her parents.
June was born on February 1, 1932, in the Knight Community,
to Earnestine Elizabeth Wilcox Hinson and William Patrick Hinson, where she lived all of her life. She was a homemaker and volunteered for schools and the Head Start Program at Evans, Louisiana. She was of the Baptist Faith. June loved gardening and nature, where she collected rocks during her travels and the travels of others. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at her residence. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
