Juanita Stanley's Obituary
Juanita Stanley, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana. Born on February 12, 1939. Juanita lived a life rich with love and laughter that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, Juanita is survived by her granddaughter Melissa Kay and husband Jeffrey of Leesville; grandson Clinton Hagan and wife Leah of Burr Ferry; as well as four adoring great-grandchildren: Zachary, Lincoln, Aunoria, and Jeremiah. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Brenda Hagan of Burr Ferry. Her family was the center of her universe—she found immense joy in playing with her great-grandchildren and creating lasting memories filled with warmth. She is also survived numerous nieces and nephews.
Juanita was preceded in death by her son James Louis Hagan.
Known for being outspoken yet loving at every turn, she had a unique ability to make those around her feel valued and heard. Her caring nature extended beyond family; friends often remarked how generous she was with both time and resources.
In addition to nurturing relationships within her family circle, Juanita enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing or tending to yard work.—activities that brought peace to her spirit. She loved cooking and hunting trips were another passion she enjoyed.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16th at 3:00 P.M., at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will take place from 2:00 P.M until service time on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service will be burial at Burr Ferry Cemetery.
As we gather together during this difficult time to celebrate Juanita’s remarkable life filled with love for family and friends alike—the legacy she leaves behind is one defined by kindness that will continue through generations who carry forward lessons learned from such an extraordinary woman.
