Juanita LeBleu's Obituary
Velma Juanita Hudson LeBleu of Waynesboro, PA and formerly of Leesville, LA passed peacefully at Quincy Village in Waynesboro on Feb. 28, 2019. Juanita was born on November 24, 1925 in Fairplay, LA. While raising four kids, Juanita went back to school and earned a bachelors degree at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX in 1964. She was the caseworker for Child Protective Services of Louisiana in Leesville for 23 years before retiring in 1987. After retiring, she moved to Waynesboro, PA and enjoyed taking cruises around the world with her daughter, Lena. Among the places this adventurous duo traveled, included Alaska, many Caribbean Islands, the Great Wall of China, Vietnam and one time she was kissed by a camel at the Great Pyramids of Egypt. She loved people and was always ready for an adventure.
Juanita was an active member of Esther Chapter 26 of Eastern Star, West Cenla Shrine Club, Museum of West La., Leesville Vernon AARP, and the Vernon Parish Council on Aging.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Tom O LeBleu, and is survived by four children -Darlis LeBleu, Urania, LA., Lena Rowe, Waynesboro, PA, Max LeBleu (wife Yan) of Atlanta, GA., Tom LeBleu (wife Gloria) of Lafayette, LA., 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. LeBleu will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery in Leesville.
