JoyLynn Johnson, 46, of DeRidder, La. passed from this life on January 22, 2011 in DeRidder, La.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of DeRidder. Ministers officiating will be the Rev. Lindsey Burns, Rev. Roger Gill and Rev. Dale Miller. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 27, 2011, 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, DeRidder, La. and continuing at First Baptist Church on Friday, one hour before the service. Burial will be at Lewis Cemetery, DeRidder, La. under the Direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, La.
Survivors include her loving husband, who she was married to for 16 years, Lee Johnson of DeRidder, La.; one son, Lee Bond of DeRidder, La.; two daughters, Emilee Joy Johnson of DeRidder, La. and DeeDee Kincaid of Merryville, La.; three brothers, Pat Olguin and Michael Olguin, both of Barstow, Ca. and Robert “Bobby” Bond of DeRidder, La.; two sisters, Nancy Ford of Sacramento, Ca. and Deborah Ramirez of Barstow, Ca.; step-brothers, Douglas Schales of Ardsley, Ny. and Daniel Schales of Ruston, La.; step-sisters, Belinda Norred of DeRidder, La. and Marisa Richwine of Florien, La.; parents, Ansley and Barbara Bond of DeRidder; two grandchildren and her in-laws, Rev. Roy Lee Johnson, Sr. and wife June of DeRidder, La.
JoyLynn was preceded in death by mother, Lillie Bond.
She was born in Barstow, Ca. and grew up in New Llano, La. She was a graduate of Pickering High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree at Lamar University. She was working on her Master’s Degree at Lamar University, McNeese State University and Northwestern State University. JoyLynn was a teacher for the hearing impaired at K. R. Hanchey Elementary School in DeRidder along with other schools throughout Beauregard Parish. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of DeRidder and active in many other area churches.
