Joyce Dale Simmons' Obituary
Funeral services for Joyce Dale Simmons, 60 of Evans, Louisiana will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the Evans Congregational Methodist Church in Evans, La., Rev. Melvin Smith and Donnie Lewing will officiate. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm Saturday until time of service Sunday in the Church.
Joyce was the daughter of Woodrow & Lillie Alma Smith was born May 30, 1951 in DeRidder, La and was a lifelong resident of the Evans community. She passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jerome Simmons.
She is survived by: Her Husband: Joe Simmons of Evans, La.; One Son: Joel Simmons of Evans, La.; One Daughter: J.J. Minion of Evans, La.; Two Brothers: Marvin Smith and Gene Smith both of Evans, La.; Three Grandchildren: Caleb Minion, Lillie Minion, and Hunter Minion all of Evans, La; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Evans Cemetery or the Evans Congregational Methodist Church.
