Joseph Frances Storozynsyn's Obituary
Funeral services for Joseph Frances Storozynsyn, 76, of DeRidder will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 2 pm at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, with Rev. Alan Knuckles officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery, in Dry Creek, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 5 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.
Joseph the son of Joseph Storozynsyn Sr. and Anna Patrick Storozyszyn, was born on November 15, 1940, in DeRidder, Louisiana. He passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Leesville, LA.
He is survived by wife of 55 yrs, Bobbie Lee Storozynsyn of DeRidder, LA; son, Joseph Frances Storozyszyn III of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Christine Louise Chamberlain (Scott) of Leesville, LA; brother, Frank Storozynsyn of DeRidder, LA.
Joseph born and raised most of his life in DeRidder, LA, but also resided in Dallas, TX, for 16 years. He was a mechanic and retired from Beauregard Parish School Board where he was a mechanic in the bus barn. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder. He was a “Ham” radio operator, flew radio controlled airplanes and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
