Funeral services for Joseph “Paul” Duplechin, 76, of Leesville, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Bro. Jay Begbie officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
Paul was born on February 8, 1943 to his parents, Leon Duplechin and Cecile Leger . He passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 in Many, LA.
Paul loved his life as a boat captain. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, loved Mardi Gras and was a huge Bernie Alan fan. Paul loved to dance and enjoyed life to its fullest. His greatest joy was spending time with his family; his grandkids and great grandkids were the light of his life.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather: Cecile and Ignace Savoie; his father Leon Duplechin; his daughter: Tammy Campbell; his brother: Clovis Duplechin and his grandsons: Cody Meaux and Brayden Griffin.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Calvin Duplechin of Church Point, Eric Duplechin of Duson and Mark Duplechin of Duson; his daughters: Jamie Jackson and husband Steven of Many and Rachel Griffen of Tulsa, OK. ; his sister: Faye Savoie Blanchard and husband Randy of St. Bernard; the mother of his sons: Beverly Duplechin; the mother of his daughters: Della Duplechin; his grandchildren: Ty Duplechin, Wesley Meaux, Kelsey Meaux, Katherine Wood and Michelle Pipps; his great grandchildren: Blayde Raborn, Conor Lopez and Eli Lopez.
