Joseph Guilo Buoniconti's Obituary
Joseph Gulio Buoniconti, a devoted husband, father, and proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana. Born on September 1, 1938, in Springfield, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mildred Buoniconti of Anacoco; sons Randy Ellis of Thibodaux and Gary Ellis of San Antonio; daughter Jody Edwards Heep from California; and granddaughter Kim Davis from Mississippi.
A man deeply committed to his family and country alike, Joseph served honorably in the military for many years. His pride as a soldier was matched by his unwavering loyalty and faithfulness to Mildred—his partner through thick and thin.
Joseph had an infectious sense of humor. Beyond his jovial spirit lay an extraordinary talent for craftsmanship; he took great joy in building birdhouses.
He enjoyed Italian Heritage. Loved music and his dog. He was an excellent handyman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6th at Holly Grove United Methodist Church in Anacoco at 11:00 am with Bro. Bill Moon officiating. Visitation will take place prior from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will be at Holly Grove Cemetery located in Anacoco.
