Jose Santos' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Santos, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and retired United States Army veteran. Born in Puerto Rico on October 23, 1948, Jose lived a life filled with love, dedication to his country, and unwavering commitment to his family. He passed away on August 27th, 2024 in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Jose's legacy will forever be cherished by those who knew him best. His loving wife Lisa Santos of Leesville stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they raised two sons; Jose Santos of Las Vegas and David Santos of Leesville. The joy of their lives were their three grandchildren.
As a dedicated soldier for over 20 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, Jose exemplified bravery and selflessness in service to his country. His sacrifice and dedication will never be forgotten as he leaves behind an indelible mark on the nation he so proudly served.
Graveside services honoring this remarkable man will be held on Wednesday September 4th at 12:30 p.m., at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville where full military honors will be rendered as a tribute to his exemplary service. Services are under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
The loss felt by those left behind is immeasurable, but it is our hope that we can find solace in remembering all that made Jose so special.
May you rest peacefully now dear friend; your memory shall live eternally within our hearts. Fly with the Angels.
