Jonathan L. Crowell's Obituary
JONATHAN L. CROWELL was born to Rev. Wesley B. Crowell, Sr. and Sis. Willie E. Crowell on July, 11, 1954 in Pineville, Louisiana.
He was affectionately known as Lynn. He was raised in the small community of Hawthorne where everyone is family and church was a way of life. Lynn accepted Christ at an early age while attending Pine Grove Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his father, Rev. Wesley B. Crowell, Sr.
Lynn graduated from Leesville High School in 1973. He went on to join the Air Force where he served six years and three months as an Inventory Management Specialist before being honorably discharged in 1979. During his tenure in the Air Force, he received the following: National Defense Service Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal, AF Longevity Service Award and Presidential Unit Citation Award.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Willie Crowell, four brothers, Wesley Jr., James, Joseph and Phillip, Sr., Crowell; four sisters, Velma Nabors, Helen Nabors, Gwendolyn Parker and Carol Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Tameka Stull of East Point, Georgia and Kishima Morrow of San Tan Valley, Arizona; two brothers, Carl A. Crowell, Sr., (Sharon), Kenneth L. Crowell, Sr. both of Leesville, Louisiana, two sisters, Shirley Orange (Harold) of Leesville, Louisiana and Elaine Tilghman of Chandler, Arizona; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins to continue his memory.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Harvest Temple Christian Center in Leesville. Visitation will be held on March 29th from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
