Graveside services for John Edwin Schaffer, 72, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
John, the son of Peter and Mary Kanus Schaffer, was born January 20, 1942, in Detroit, MI. He passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014, in Leesville, LA.
After retiring from AT&T, Mr. Schaffer started his own business, Advance Systems of Leesville.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Schaffer of Leesville; daughter, Angela Westmoreland of Anacoco, LA; step-children, Jennifer Woodward of Somerville, SC and David Baker of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, one great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
