John W Krenek's Obituary
Retired Army CW3 John W. Krenek went home to be with the Lord December 25, 2020. He was born March 27, 1947 to Dr. F.J. and Annette Krenek in Bryan, Texas.
John enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 and through the Army he attended Baylor University where he studied medicine and earned his degree to become a Biomedical Physician’s Assistant. He served his country faithfully for 20 years and retired in 1986. John continued to pursue his passion for medicine and people both working through the VA and in private practices until 2011.
Throughout his life, John enjoyed fast cars, boats and airplanes. He always loved to fly whether on the ground, on the water or in the air. He was an outdoorsman who loved the beauty of nature and would capture that beauty in the photographs he took.
John will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Megan Barnett.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jennifer; Children; Alicia Young of Leesville, Regina McCall (Larry) of Mechanicsville, IA, Ryan Krenek of Richmond, VA, Amy Johnson (Josh) of Chester, VA, Natasha Wilkerson (Josh) of Leesville, Bree Feduccia (Mason) of Lake Charles, Elijah Morrison of Leesville, Stepdaughters; Kaelyn Henry, Kaisley Berry and Stepson Jaysen Henry. 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services will be held Friday, January 22 at Labby Memorial Funeral Chapel in Leesville with Pastor Lorraine Smith officiating.Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the Celebration of Life at 11am. All services will be available via livestream. Due to Covid restrictions at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, the internment will be reserved for immediate family. Masks and social distancing required.
