John Earl Doucett, 68, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, September 14, 2020 in DeRidder, LA. John, the son of Andrew Clyde and Lois (Richard) Doucett was born on January 17, 1952, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 9:00 AM until Funeral Service begins at 10:00 AM, at Ritchie Cemetery, 178 S Perkins Ferry Road, Moss Bluff, LA with Rev. Dalton Isbell, Pastor of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana.
John retired from Gene’s Truck Service where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his ATV. He was either in the woods or on the water, spending time with loved ones in Moss Bluff on the river. He will be greatly missed by his wife, loved ones and his dogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Sherri Doucett of DeRidder, LA; two sons, David Edwards and wife Christian of Sulphur, LA, Rodney Doucett and wife Roni of Moss Bluff, LA; two daughters, Jennifer Doucett of Vinton, LA, Rhonda Pratt and husband Johnathan of Ragley, LA; brother, Larry Doucett and wife Katie of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Judy Doucett of Lake Charles, LA; and grandchildren, Bradley, Hannah, Ariel, Colton, Camden, Carley, Sarah, Adam, and Tanner.
Preceded in death by his father, Andrew Clyde Doucett; mother, Lois Richard Doucett; brother, Allen Doucett; and sister, Linda Goutreaux.
