John Darrell Canady's Obituary
Funeral services for John Darrell Canady, 62, of Leesville will be held Thursday, December 17th at 3:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. John Burns officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16th from 6:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at the funeral home and on Thursday, form 8:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Canady the son, of Harold and Velma Lee Arrington Canady, was born on November 7, 1947 in Leesville, LA. He passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Willis Knighton Health Care Center in Shreveport, LA. He served in the US Army. Mr. Canady loved antique cars, working on them & rebuilding them. He was a musician, played the guitar & drums. He also loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Patricia McInnis and Betty Canady.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Canady of Leesville, LA; sons Kevin Smith of Evans, LA, Hershel Smith of Anacoco, LA, Ray Canady Sr. of Lake Charles, LA, & Timothy Womack of Leesville, LA; daughters, Marsha Perkins of Lake Charles, LA & Amanda Canady of Leesville, LA; brothers Lonnie Canady of Leesville, LA, Gene Canady of Leesville, LA & Ellis Canady of Baton Rouge, LA; sister Marie Canady of Leesville, LA; twenty grandchildren & six great grandchildren.
