Mrs. Jo enjoyed staying up late with her children, playing dominoes, laughing and looking for rummy on the board! Spending time with her daughter Kawana going to thrift shops, flea markets, and yard sales, searching out the next trinket. Mrs. Jo was known for her infectious laugh that she could interject into any conversation. She was happy all the time, loved to laugh, and played practical jokes. She was a member along with her husband at Spring Ridge Baptist Church. She along with her beloved husband would go to gospel singings most weekends where she loved to join in pickin’ her guitar alongside her husband.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Howard Darrel Isbell of DeRidder, LA; devoted daughters Kawana K. Young and husband James R. Young, Rachel A. Perkins of DeRidder, LA; and nine grandchildren Ripplie O. Perkins, Daniel W. Perkins, James G. Young, Robert N. Young, Petra A. Elliott, Paisley-Belle E. Young, Adaline S. Young, Henry E. Young and Lillianna P. Young, who all adored their Mimi.
Preceded in death by her mother Ola E. Denby; father George A Denby; sister Barbara A. Travis; brothers George R. Denby, Clyde S. Denby, and she was greeted by her infant son she lost early in life.
