Jimmie Haddox's Obituary
Funeral services for Jimmie Haddox, 93, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Saint Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery in Leesville, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the funeral home with a Rosary being held at 6:00 p.m.
Jimmie was born on May 27, 1918, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012, in Alexandria, LA.
Mr. Haddox was a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He had lived in Leesville for the past 65 years. He was a former funeral director for the Dennis Funeral Home of Leesville. He then owned Brady Florist and Gift Shop for many years and worked for the state of Louisiana as a supervisor of State Licensing Board of Contractors until his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was the 1st Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 4156.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Koury Haddox.
He is survived by his sons, James E. Haddox Jr., & wife Paula of Jourdanton, TX, Michael L. Haddox & wife, Lynn of Picayune, MS; daughter, Sara Haddox of Leesville, LA; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
