Funeral services for Jesse Paul Ruiz, II, 41, of Kuwait, (formerly of Leesville) will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Anacoco Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Visitation will be Friday, April 9th from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday, April 10th from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville
Jesse was born on October 14, 1968 in Houston, Texas to the late Jesse Paul Ruiz and Suzy McClain. He passed away on April 6, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas as a result of a hit and run accident in Kuwait. He served in the military 5 years and had been working as a Branch Manager for Combat Support Associates in Kuwait for the past 10 years. He was also a co-founder of PAWS (Protecting Animal Welfare Society)
He is preceded in death by his father Jesse Paul Ruiz, stepfather Lynn E. McClain, grandfathers Leopold Ruiz & Elvy Perkins and grandmother Robie Perkins.
He is survived by daughter, Ashley Lynn Ruiz of Starke, FL, mother, Suzy McClain of Leesville, LA, one sister, Daphne Mills Bushnell of Dry Creek, LA, grandmother Mamie Ruiz of Houston, TX, a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, also special friends from Kuwait & the US, and two dear friends Margaret McClusky & Katie Browne, both living in Kuwait.
