Jerry D. Sneler's Obituary
Funeral services for Jerry D. Sneler, 83, of Leesville Louisiana will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 1 pm at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Dale Mortenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 12th, from 11am until time of service at the funeral home.
Jerry, the daughter of J. Leon “Peanut” and Euna Dowden, was born on December 29, 1932, in Slagle, Louisiana. She passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, in Many, Louisiana.
Mrs. Sneler retired Deputy Chief DOL Supply from Fort Polk after 32 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, F.A. “Babe” Sneler; son, Timothy Leon Sneler and brothers, Malcolm Dean and Jimmy Dale Dowden.
She is survived by her daughters, Ann Crytser Hursell of Fairfield, OH, Denise Sneler White of Anacoco and Shelly Sneler Lowe of Lawton, OK; daughter-in-law, Terry Reeves Sneler Roddy of Highlands, TX; sister, Jeanette Gill of Slagle; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
