Jerry Dee Slatten's Obituary
Funeral services for Jerry Dee Slatten, 76, of Deridder, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. Roger Gill and Ed Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Beauregard Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Friday, June 27th from 9:00 a.m. until service time in the chapel.
Jerry, the son of James & Gertrude Danzy Slatten was born July 12, 1937 in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2014 in the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Simpson High School. He moved to DeRidder in 1969 where he worked as the Manager of LNO Furniture for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents James & Gertrude Danzy Slatten and his grandparents Mack & Lonnie Danzy.
Mr. Slatten is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Slatten of DeRidder, La.; his children, Jerry & Kimmie Slatten, Jr. of DeRidder, La., Todd & Barbara Slatten of Rosepine, La., Sonya & Kenny Patz of Evans, La., Laura & Chris Culotta and their children of Bossier, La.; four grandchildren, Marli Westfall, Shelby Slatten, Jordan Slatten, Kenli Patz.
