Jerry Gordon Schaller's Obituary
Jerry Gordon Schaller, 88, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. He was born on April 1, 1937, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Harry Earl Schaller, Jr. and Jimmie Nadine Petrie Schaller.
Jerry shared a devoted and loving marriage with his wife, Dorothy Riles Schaller, for 66 years. Together they built a strong, faith-filled family rooted in love, honesty, and hard work—values Jerry lived by every day. He loved God deeply and was known by all who knew him as an honest, hardworking, and family-oriented man.
Jerry found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching sports, woodworking, gardening, and hunting, and he cherished time spent with his family across generations.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Penny Trahan; and his brother, Jimmy E. Schaller.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Schaller; his children, David Schaller and wife Marsha of Conroe, Texas; Joseph Schaller and wife Lisa of Willis, Texas; Robin Hall and husband Dana of Gulfport, Mississippi; and Ann Marie Bartlett and husband David of Ragley, Louisiana; a son-in-law Greg Trahan of Wildwood, Texas; and his sister, Joan Tayler of Madison, Georgia. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom will continue to carry his legacy forward.
Jerry Gordon Schaller will be remembered for his faith, integrity, dedication to family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, January 17th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Mason Bartlett officiating.
