Jerry Wendell Plummer's Obituary
Memorial services for Jerry Wendell Plummer, 65, of New Llano, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will be held Friday, April 11th from 10 a.m. until service time in the chapel. Jerry, the son of Jesse W. and Dorthy Lynell Yancey Plummer was born July 20, 1948, in Dallas, Texas He passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Alexandria. Mr. Plummer served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired after 22 years of service as an E-8 Master Sergeant. He then retired with Civil Service at Fort Polk in Communications. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 387, lifetime member of VFW post 3106 and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He was a motorcycle and gun enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Plummer of New Llano, LA; son Jason Plummer & wife, Babyjean of New Llano, La; sisters, Mary Dale Gage & husband, Doyle of Colbert, OK and Gale McBride & husband, Albert of Elmo, TX and grandchildren, James Plummer and Joyce Plummer.
