Jeremiah "Jewel" Davis' Obituary
Funeral services for Jeremiah “Jewel” Davis, 72 of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday January 6, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 9:00 A.M until time of service at the funeral home.
Jeremiah Jewel Davis, entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1200 P.M. while being at his home in Leesville, Louisiana.
He was born on February 17, 1948, the youngest of nine children born to Adlee T. Davis and Ozie Davis SR.
Jerry attended and graduated from Vernon High School. Upon graduation, he started designing clothes, shoes and hats. Furthermore, he was blessed to have a son name Marchean Colton. Throughout the years, Jerry worked as a stylist assistant and in his latter years he retired as a chef in his love for cooking.
Jerry was a sunshine among his family and friends. At his job, he was known as, “Mister Extraordinaire”, because of his hard work, devotion, tireless effort and dedication to the job. His kindness for others was a treasure that was overflowing with love. He loved to give unconditionally never asking for anything in return. His love, kindness and acts will be greatly missed.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his Mother Adlee T Davis and His Father Ozie Davis Sr., His brothers, Charles R. Thomas, Willie Robert Thomas, George R. Thomas, and 2 sisters, Ada B. Willer and Ivory Brown. He is also proceeded in death by 2 Nephews, William R. Thomas Sr. and Samuel H. Miller and his Niece, Tina Kaye Duncan.
He leaves behind 2 sisters, Addie Lee Miller of Leesville LA., Ociemae Davis of Houston TX. his only son (Marchean) and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren , Nephews, Nieces, and a host of Great and Great Great Nephews and Nieces and great many Friends.
