Memorial services for Jeffrey Scott Wimberly, 54 of Leesville, Louisiana will be he held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Labby Memorial Funeral in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Jeffrey Scott Wimberly was born July 7, 1960, at the Fort Hood Army Hospital to Elbert “Bill” and Beadie “Leigh” Wimberly, a Military Family. He attended School in Germany after Louisiana. He served four years in the United States Army. The family retired to Leesville. After his military service he worked in the family business as the computer specialist and many other positions. When the business closed he started his own business. He was president of his own train website as miniature trains were one of his passions and joys. He was a Boy Scout leader and enjoyed working the younger generation. He was a volunteer firefighter from 1996 to 2012 and had attended rank of Captain. He was the safety officer and was in charge of safety training. He had to resign due to his health issues.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and mother Beadie “Leigh” Wimberly.
He is survived by his father, Elbert “Bill” Wimberly of Leesville; sisters, Stephanie Davis of Leesville and Lael Alston Ferguson of Winchester, VA and step-mother, Ann R. Snell Martin Wimberly of Pitkin, LA.
