Funeral services for Jefferson Albert “Jeff” Laughlin, 72, of Anacoco, LA will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the St. Michael Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville, LA.
Friends may call Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. till 9 pm in the funeral then Sunday, December 23rd from 9 am until 12 noon in the funeral home. Rosary services will be Saturday, December 22nd at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
The Father Kenneth Michiels and Father Jose Palathara will officaite withth burial to follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery in Anacoco, LA
Jeff passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in
Alexandria, LA
He was born in Port Arthur, TX. He was a member of St. Michael Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville, LA. He retired from Vernon Parish School System after 27 years as the Assistant Principle of the Anacoco Elementary and Anacoco High Schools in 2000. He was a member of the Anacoco Lions Club. He was a member of West LA Officials Association, member of the Vernon Arts Counsel, member of the Advisory Board for the LA Lions League for Crippled Children Inc, District 8L, and a member of the Coaches Association. He was preceded in death by his son, Jefferson “B’Babe” Laughlin,
The family requested that memorial donations be made to the Louisiana Lions Crippled Children Camp.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 48 years Carol Laughlin of Anacoco, LA; Sons, Paul Jude “Buzzy” (wife, Teresa) Laughlin, II of Merryville, LA Howard Donova (wife, Melissa) Laughlin of Lake Charles, LA;
Daughters: Jeannine (husband, Ralph) Wentworth of Anacoco, LA, Cynthia (husband, Patrick) Lamitina of Anacoco, LA Rhoda (husband, Roger) Christopher of Dry Prong, LA; Daughter in Law:
