Jeff Shipp's Obituary
Funeral services for Jeff Shipp, 50, of Pickering, will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 12 noon at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. C. R. Bayham officiating. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Monday, September 26th at 3:00 pm until service time Wednesday, September 28th in the funeral home.
Jeff, the son of Alfred Joe and Ann McDonald Shipp, was born on February 8, 1966 in Wurzburg, Germany. He passed away on Friday, September 23rd from injuries received from an auto accident.
Jeff graduated from Pickering High School in 1984; he served in the US Army and was a mechanic by trade. He loved fishing, hunting and playing his guitar. However he loved mostly chasing his kids around from football, basketball, baseball whatever they were doing he was going to be there.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Joe Shipp, nephew Joey Hicks, and grandmother Lily McDonald.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Selena Shipp of Pickering; sons, Quinton Shipp of Many, Stephen Shipp of Pickering, Garrett Shipp of Many and Garrette “Bubba” Shipp of Pickering; daughter, Candice Mobley of Kirbyville, TX; Granddaughter, Alissa Mobley; mother, Ann Shipp of Shreveport; sisters, Teresa Stewart of Shreveport and Brenda Wineland of Leesville; mother-in-law Charlotte Thompson of Pitkin; Father-in-law, John Thompson of DeRidder; sister-in-law, Alisha Terrell of Pitkin; brother-in-law, Johnathan Irey of Pitkin; nieces Jadyn Terrell, Kaylynn Terrell, Brandy Snyder, Rebecca Booth and Misty Stroud; nephews, River Jordan and Jason Hicks.
